THE VAST ADVANTAGES

Members receive approximately twice a year, the ZJapanR, the Journal of Japanese law, which is released/ published in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law (MPI), Hamburg.


The DJJV regularly organizes lectures and comparative law symposiums for its members on special subjects.


With regular meetings in different cities, the DJJV supports the exchange of information with colleagues and cross-border cooperation.

The Association is a nationwide represented association which is nonpartisan. In accordance to the notice of exception from the tax office of Hamburg (St-Nr.17/412/00747) dated 23 October 2014, which makes reference to Section 5 Abs. Nr. 9 of the Cooperate tax law and Section 3 Nr. 6 of the Trade tax law, the association is exempted from paying cooperate tax and trade tax respectively.

The Association supports the following charitable aims:
- The support of public and professional education as well as of students
- To not only support but also contribute to the international mindedness of tolerance in all areas of culture and the thinking of international understanding among people.

The DJJV is entitled to issue appropriate allowance confirmations regarding donation/membership fees.
